Former DESTINY’S CHILD star MICHELLE WILLIAMS was crippled with a terrible stutter she feared she’d never shake.
The Survivor singer now prides herself on her pronunciation of words, but admits she once couldn’t get the words out.
Williams explains, “I used to stutter as I began to learn new words. My mind was thinking so much faster than what my mouth could say.
“I don’t stutter anymore. After the stuttering went away I became so proper. People used to say, `You trying to talk like a white person.’”
Former DESTINY’S CHILD star MICHELLE WILLIAMS takes blog comments about her appearance from fans seriously – because they’re often spot on.
The singer reveals she likes to read what fans think of her image changes and style choices – because they help her make better decisions about the way she looks.
She explains, “(There) was something about my eyebrows. They (fans) said they were too dark and I forgot to get my eyebrows done… The next day I got my brows done.
“Stuff like that I don’t care about.”
Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams says she sacrificed her education to work on her music career.
According to contactmusic.com, Williams dropped out of school because she got a call to join the girl group.
She says, “I was so hungry. I said, ‘Mama, let me do one more tour and I’m gonna get you that car’. There was a Chrysler that she always wanted. I said, ‘After this tour I will go back to school’. After that tour, I got the call about joining Destiny’s Child.”
Williams still tried balancing her soaring pop career with her education. “They wanted me to be an alternate member of the group… I was like, ‘Oh, alternate member? Cool. I can go to school and do my own thing’. But I never was an alternate member.”
“I studied for two years before I started background singing. Many people in my family have degrees. There are doctors, nurses and teachers,” she added.
According to www.tvtv.co.uk Michelle will be on the british talkshow “Loose women” on ITV 1 on July 30th, 12.30 (UK-time).

I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who wished me a happy birthday!!! I told my mother that a lot of you guys said she sounded good singing Happy Birthday to me!! She said she was quitting her job to make an album!!!! LOL!!!!!
Anyhoo…………I am so sorry about the news of my album!!! Trust me……when they told me I was numb for two days and couldn’t talk to anybody!!! I had sooooooooooooo many questions of as to why they’d push my album back three weeks before the original release date!!!! I will be honest and say that I am disappointed becuz I feel like we should’ve been doing more 3 months ago to promote my album instead of waiting to the last minute to change the date!!!! I have thought about EVERYTHING!!! Columbia Records is saying that they need more time to properly set up the album to ensure its success!!! So let’s make some lemonade out of the lemons!!! This could very well be a blessing in disguise!!! Plus there are still many people who didn’t even know my album was coming out August 12th anyway. I know you guys are LIVID but let’s keep the energy POSITIVE!!!! Things will work out for the good!!!! I will still WIN!!!!!
