Despite Saturday’s relatively warm weather, some in Chicago were getting into the holiday spirit.
Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams performed at the holiday tree lighting at Macy’s on State Street.
This year’s tree is decorated with 10,000 and stands 45 feet tall.
Williams is a Rockford, Ill. native who used to visit downtown Chicago as a child to see the holiday decorations. She talked about her Christmas wish last Saturday on ABC.

Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams has revealed that she was involved in a minor traffic accident on Tuesday.
Williams, who was in the US girlband until their split in 2005, apparently clipped the side of a bus while driving in her home city of Chicago.
The singer wrote on her Twitter page: “I hit a bus and have 2 get my side mirror fixed.” She was not seriously injured in the incident.
Earlier this year, Williams took to the social networking site to dismiss reports that she is planning to reunite with former bandmates Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, writing: “I never said DC is getting back together.”
